Description
PFC2-80kVAR | 3-Phase 80kVAR Power Factor Correction Capacitor Switch | 415V
The PFC2-80kVAR is a robust 3-phase Power Factor Correction (PFC) capacitor switch designed to provide reliable and efficient switching of capacitive loads in industrial power factor correction systems. Using advanced two-leg (2/3rds) control technology, the PFC2 Series significantly reduces the high inrush currents associated with conventional contactor-based capacitor switching while eliminating contact wear and electrical arcing.
Designed for 80kVAR capacitor banks operating on 415V three-phase supplies, the PFC2-80kVAR utilises solid-state switching technology for rapid and repetitive operation without mechanical contacts. Controlled via an 8–24V DC signal, the controller incorporates automatic over-temperature protection, high-speed semiconductor fuse protection, integrated fan cooling, LED status indicators, and fault monitoring for dependable long-term performance.
Ideal for industrial environments where reactive power demand changes rapidly, the PFC2-80kVAR helps improve power factor, reduce reactive power charges, and increase overall electrical system efficiency.
