Description
QLC-RFI 17A 4 Position Switched Quartz Lamp Regulator for Commercial Heating
The QLC-RFI 17A Switched Regulator is a compact single-phase variable phase-angle controller designed for precise power regulation of quartz lamps, heat lamps and other mains-driven loads. Designed for commercial catering and heating applications, it provides controlled output adjustment while offering a convenient 4-position control configuration for straightforward operation.
The RFI version is particularly suited to commercial gantries, restaurants, hospitality equipment and kitchen heating applications, where reliable and stable control of quartz and infrared lamps is required. Its robust TRIAC design provides dependable switching and high inrush-current handling, while the compact housing and single-hole fixing simplify installation.
⚠️ NOTE: This regulator is a high-current solid-state device. Efficient heat transfer is mandatory for reliable operation. For proper installation, a thermal grease/paste MUST be applied evenly to the back of the regulator before mounting to ensure maximum thermal coupling. Operation
The QLC-RFI controls the power delivered to the connected load using phase-angle regulation. The controller varies the AC waveform supplied to the load, allowing the output to be adjusted from 0–98%.
The 4-position QLC configuration provides a practical control solution for applications such as commercial heated gantries and quartz lamp systems, where repeatable power settings are useful for maintaining consistent heating or illumination.
The RFI configuration is designed for applications where control of radio-frequency interference is important, while the large TRIAC provides reliable operation when controlling loads with higher inrush currents.
