Description
QVR/S-TB 15A Switched Phase Angle Regulator for 230V Quartz Lamps | 5Way Terminal Block
The QVR/S-TB 15A Switched Regulator is a compact and robust 230V phase-angle voltage regulator designed for precise control of quartz lamps, heating elements, and selected inductive loads. Featuring a built-in switched potentiometer and terminal block connections, it provides adjustable output control for commercial kitchen and industrial heating applications.
Designed for demanding environments, the QVR/S-TB can provide variable output from 0–98%, helping users regulate heat and power accurately. Its large TRIAC provides high inrush-current handling, while the compact enclosure makes it suitable for panel and equipment integration.
⚠️ NOTE: This regulator is a high-current solid-state device. Efficient heat transfer is mandatory for reliable operation. For proper installation, a thermal grease/paste MUST be applied evenly to the back of the regulator before mounting to ensure maximum thermal coupling. Operation
The QVR/S-TB uses phase-angle control to regulate the amount of AC power delivered to the connected load. Adjusting the front-mounted potentiometer changes the TRIAC conduction angle, allowing the output power to be increased or decreased according to the application’s requirements.
This makes the regulator particularly suitable for applications where precise adjustment of heating intensity or lamp output is required.
The built-in TRIAC is designed to handle significant inrush currents, providing additional protection when controlling loads such as heating elements and quartz lamps.
Applications
The QVR/S-TB 15A Switched Regulator is ideal for commercial ovens, bain marie systems, hot food cupboards, heated gantries, quartz lamps, infrared heat lamps, heating elements, moulders, dryers, food warming equipment, selected transformers, some motor and inductive loads, commercial kitchen equipment, industrial heating systems
