IRK.162 Series 162A Dual Thyristor Power Module
The IRK.162 Dual Thyristor Power Module is a heavy-duty SCR module engineered for high-current industrial rectification and control applications. Built with an electrically isolated Aluminium Nitride base plate, this module enables efficient thermal transfer to a common heatsink while maintaining high electrical isolation for safe, compact assemblies.
Thyristors (SCRs) function as bistable solid-state switches—triggered by a gate pulse and remaining conductive while forward biased—making them ideal for controlled rectification, temperature regulation, and motor speed control circuits.
This module is a direct equivalent to IXYS Corporation MCC162-16IO1 and Ruttonsha International Rectifier Ltd IRKT162/16, allowing straightforward replacement in existing designs.
