Our Journey: Pioneering Power Electronics Since 1964
United Automation’s journey in industrial power control began in 1964, establishing ourselves as pioneers in the field. Our reputation for advanced technical strengths and quality products has driven our growth over the decades.
A pivotal moment arrived in 1992, when Ben Fashoni acquired the company. Under Ben’s visionary leadership and innovative designs, United Automation continued its strong growth trajectory, enabling a significant relocation to a purpose-built factory in Southport in 1999. This expansion solidified our manufacturing capabilities and commitment to in-house production.
Following Ben’s retirement in April 2017, Dean Fashoni proudly took over as Managing Director, continuing the legacy of family ownership and dedication to excellence. This ensures a consistent vision and a deep understanding of our customers’ needs.
Today, we boast a comprehensive portfolio of over 400 standard products, covering the vast majority of industrial power control applications. Our solutions are trusted across a wide variety of industry sectors and market segments, including end users, distributors, contractors, and OEMs, with products sold into more than 88 countries worldwide.

United Automation is established, becoming one of the UK’s first designers and manufacturers of industrial power control products. We began our journey as pioneers in the field, driven by a commitment to innovation and quality.
The company embraces expansion by relocating to Southport’s newest technology park. This move provides the much-needed space and capacity to bring previously subcontracted work in-house and expand the business, setting a new industry standard.
Ben Fashoni acquires the company. Guided by his visionary leadership and innovative designs, the business enters a new period of significant growth and success.
With continued success, we relocate to a new, purpose-built factory in Southport. This crucial step solidifies our in-house manufacturing capabilities and prepares the business for future growth.
The new United Automation Ltd building is officially opened, further expanding our facilities and marking a new era of growth and technological advancement.
